Part of a 2008 series for my Senior Studio Thesis. Created all of these images using Photoshop. Used text along with filters and other effects to create a glitch-alike image. All images were printed on 10x10 high res. photo paper and mounted on black foamboard. The top side was covered with 10x10 glass. |

Experimenting with my digital camera. |
Experimental photo of light trails and edited with Photoshop. |
Wordpad databending with a touch of MS Paint to lower color resolution. |
Another experimental photo taken. No edits. Really enjoyed how this came out. |
An image i made with Photoshop and Illustrator for a shirt design. |

recent work.
This picture is one that i took and if you look closely, maybe you'll be able to figure out what the image actually is. |
I have taken hundreds of photos of lights on a long exposure to create a sort of light trail effect. I like how this one came out when i edited the hex code. |
Something went wrong here. |
An homage to gamers alike. The bottom half of this photo was not intentional. Yes i meant to glitch it but when i uploaded the original glitched image to here, the bottom portion got even more glitchy. I'll roll with it. |
Continuing on with editing photos of tanks. I picked this one especially because of the high resolution. |
And a second run through hex editing software. |
A third run through the same software used to edit the hex code. |
And finally a fourth rendition. All the same photo, but each very different. |

Here is a "photo-bend" of a microscopic image depicting a microorganism. Credit goes to Hideo Otsuna who shot this photo using a confocal microscope. |
Here is another "photo-bend" of ink mixing in with water. I enjoy working with found photos and images of my own to create something new out of something that was once old or considered garbage. This recycling process is evident in a lot of my work and the focus is in creating different versions of an image using a variety of forms and colors. |

Flakpanzer
This photo depicts 2 German soldiers alongside a German Flakpanzer IV Wirbelwind during World War 2. I "bent" this photo using the WordPad technique. Most of my art has never had political undertones but i am currently working on a series that portrays images of war and destruction. I want to work with these images by deleting and replacing fragments that make up the image's code to create a series of glitch art that expresses ideas relating to the human condition. Experience the quest to understand ourselves and our place in the universe. |
